About the role

At Plentify, data is at the core of everything we do. The vast data collected from our IoT systems drives decisions, powers our products, and helps us continuously improve performance and user experience. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that inform strategic decisions and support our operations.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyse large, complex datasets to troubleshoot customer issues, identify trends and patterns, and develop dashboards and reports that bring clarity to our operations and customer needs. Your ability to communicate insights in a clear and impactful way will help drive data-informed decision-making at pace and scale across the organisation.

As a Data Analyst at Plentify you will contribute in the following areas:

  • Analyse and interpret complex datasets to troubleshoot operational issues or extract actionable insights for key business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to communicate trends, KPIs, and operational insights to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define metrics and ensure data quality and accessibility.
  • Identify and troubleshoot patterns in operational and customer data to improve product performance and user experience.
  • Support predictive analytics and forecasting projects by preparing and analyzing relevant data.
  • Automate reporting processes and design systems to monitor performance in real time.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to answer urgent business questions and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of Plentify’s data architecture and pipelines.

Required skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Strong statistical and mathematical foundation (e.g., degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Data Science).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a data analysis role.
  • High proficiency in Python and SQL. Experience with other programming languages is a plus.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Analytical, structured thinker with the ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to extract actionable insights from complex datasets and present findings in a clear, concise manner.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.

Even better if you have some of the following:

  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (especially AWS).
  • Knowledge and experience with thermodynamics, energy systems, IoT and/ or time series data.
  • Experience with design thinking, Agile development practices, and test-driven development.
