Octopus Energy Services is spearheading the transition to greener, cheaper energy through the installation of in-home technologies; from smart meters and EV chargers; to low carbon heating such as Solar PV, Heat Pumps and beyond. We deliver smart energy and low carbon heating solutions so our customers can enjoy clean, green and cosy homes.
We're looking for Solar Install Support Specialists to assist in the successful roll-out of Solar installations across the UK!
As a Solar Install Support Specialist you will be on the front line supporting customers once the sale of solar panels has closed, helping them with a range of tasks including calling customers, generating handover documents, booking in installations & scaffolding and lots more! This role involves lots of admin so we're looking for candidates who are organised and have great time management! You'll become an expert in making sure those that are interested in Solar, navigate the journey with ease and excitement, knowing they will be one step closer to a cleaner, greener lifestyle.
You'll liaise closely with our survey and installation teams to make the magic happen as well as 3rd party suppliers. This is an evolving role and your ability to deal with change in a fast paced environment is key!

Is it you we're looking for?

  • We’re looking for an organised people-person who is the link between our Solar sales team and the wider field teams going out to our customers homes to install their brand new Solar panels!
  • You’re someone who gets what great customer experience is and you thrive juggling several tasks at once. Our aim is to ensure we can install our renewable tech as efficiently and effectively as possible with limited inconvenience to our customers.
  • You’ll need to be a great communicator – you’ll be liaising with wider team members about all aspects of the customers journey once they’re sold on Solar. You’ll be using multiple systems and tools to make sure we get results and your problem-solving skills will be called upon.
  • You’ll need to be a structured, logical thinker working to a process - this is critical for this role.
  • You'll be empathetic. Our field based team face challenges such as traffic and bad weather; customers with busy lives don’t want to be sat in waiting all day for their appointment – your understanding of their situations will help you make the right decisions.
  • This is a new role and it will grow and move into areas that we haven’t yet imagined. It’s important that you’re up for new challenges and able to take on new tasks as the job develops.
