Octopus Energy Services is spearheading the transition to greener, cheaper energy through the installation of in-home technologies; from smart meters and EV chargers; to low carbon heating, home batteries, solar, and beyond. We deliver smart energy, low carbon solutions for our customers.
We’ve fallen head-over-heels with heat pumps - which provide an ultra-efficient, reliable alternative to gas boilers.
We're looking for Regional Operations Managers across the North of England to join us in our mission to help as many customers transition to low carbon heating as possible.
As the Regional Operations Manager, you'll own the operational delivery for your region. It’s up to you to ensure customers receive the highest customer experience when transitioning to low-carbon heating. You’ll manage a multi-skilled team to ensure every single Heat Pump is delivered with incredible customer experience. You will proactively work with your direct & indirect teams to forward plan, identifying emerging themes, challenges and opportunities across your area to become the leading heat pump installer.
We're looking for Regional Managers in the following areas; East Midlands and East Midlands

What you'll do

  • Ownership of install business performance across your region - this includes overall responsibility for directly and indirectly delivering against the following key performance metrics: utilisation, weekly install throughput, team satisfaction and retention.
  • Regional Business Planning - working with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Install Support, Compliance, Supply Chain, Recruitment and Training to develop and deliver against an agreed joined-up regional strategy.
  • Ownership of regional customer experience - taking overall responsibility for customer experience within your region (delivering against agreed targets for wait times, install success and overall customer satisfaction)
  • Optimise Resource Management - managing to the optimum utilisation of multi- skilled teams across your region. This includes empowering area managers to flex available resources to deliver the best customer outcomes. Working with the Training Team to deliver an ongoing L&D programme for your region and equip your team with the skills they need.
  • Team Management - building a high performance, data driven culture, managing a team of 4-8 area managers to deliver performance, share best practice and innovate across your region.
  • Quality & Compliance - working with the Compliance Team to ensure that all work is delivered to a safe, high standard with a mindset of continuous improvement.

What you'll need

  • Execution focus: You have a proven ability to deliver results in a high growth environment.
  • Data-driven insight: You will be comfortable diving into the numbers to build analytical, data-driven insight to support decision making
  • Cross functional working: You have demonstrated experience working collaboratively across a wide range of business functions to deliver joined-up regional performance
  • Commercially minded: experience in delivering great performance within defined commercial guardrails
  • Customer obsession: A background in leading teams to deliver above-and-beyond for the customer and truly ingraining this within the culture
  • Entrepreneurial spirit: We’re looking for leaders to take ownership of their region, think outside the box. You will have a demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and work autonomously to scope and delivery initiatives to continuously improve performance across your region.
  • Inspirational, supportive team leaders: Your team is your greatest asset. We’re looking for leaders with experience of managing large multi-skilled organisations to deliver incredible results within a hyper growth environment.
