We're on the lookout for a dynamic Sales Team Manager—someone with a proven record of steering successful sales teams in both public and B2C arenas.

At the core of our mission is a vibrant and forward-thinking approach, helping people adopt sustainable transportation through electric vehicles. Your role? To lead one of our EV sales teams, guiding them to new heights. Your primary focus? Nurturing our team and business relationships and driving the growth of our innovative Salary Sacrifice product.
Your team is the embodiment of Octopus Electric Vehicles, acting as the frontline advisors and advocates for customers embracing the benefits of our Octopus EV Salary Sacrifice scheme.
This position comes with an uncapped commission structure, a generous car allowance as part of the overall package, and an office that's more than just a workplace—it's an inspiring environment, located in the heart of Weybridge, where you'll be stationed three days a week.
What you'll do...
- Lead and inspire your sales team to achieve outstanding results.
- Coach and develop individuals to enhance their performance metrics.
- Drive a performance management culture through regular 1:1s, coaching sessions, setting challenging objectives, and providing constructive feedback.

- Leverage your experience in running successful sales teams, ensuring excellence in both public-facing and B2B2C interactions.
- Manage sales pipelines from lead generation to delivery, setting and exceeding targets.
- Possess strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Create insightful reports with actionable suggestions for continuous improvement
- Recruit and cultivate a team of high-performing individuals.
- Forecast team performance and implement strategies for success.
- Excel in managing tasks efficiently, ensuring projects are completed ahead of deadlines.
- Ensure outstanding customer service, recording customer satisfaction, and sharing best practices.
- Oversee quality assurance, ensuring compliance with FCA guidelines.
- Guarantee top-quality service delivery at all times, maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other sales team managers to share best practices.
- Work with cross-functional teams to iterate propositions and materials for the B2B/B2C market.
- Think holistically, considering the impact of decisions on wider teams and the overall business.

What you'll need...
- Previous B2B2C sales management experience preferably in telesales/centre sales environment
- A proven track record managing large teams with different skill sets in a phone based B2C environment
- Extensive knowledge of sales principles and practices with the ability to lead, coach, and develop successful teams
- Experience working in a start-up environment with an adaptable mindset to excel in an ever-changing business environment
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to think independently, get things done and complete tasks ahead of schedule
- Strong time management, communication and interpersonal skills
- Car industry knowledge would be preferred but not essential
- Genuine passion for Electric Vehicles / Energy and decarbonisation
- Passion for delivering excellent customer service and a drive for going above and beyond for our customers
