As we enter the stage of rapid commercialisation and customer account growth, we have a number of exciting new offerings to launch to customers. We’re looking for an exceptional person to help us continuously deliver features that provide value to our customers.
Our ideal candidate would be an individual who has experience working with Power Plant Controllers (PPC) or similar and is looking for a new challenge. We operate a highly agile development approach, giving wide scope to be involved with hands-on system-design, product development, deployment and operations.
What you'll do
- Design, build and maintain control systems for renewable asset sites (battery, solar, wind)
- Help build a team to facilitate our rapid growth
- Work closely with our engineering team and partners to design the next generation of renewable generation sites
- Facilitate the design, testing, commissioning, and go live support of our sites
- Production of engineering design packs (specifications, drawings, testing and commissioning documentation)
- Supporting on-call team for out of hours issues
What you'll need
- 2+ years of industry experience in control systems design on renewable energy sites
- Proven experience in one or more of the following:
- Power Plant Control Systems
- Designing/programming a control and data acquisition system with one of the industry recognised PLC technology platforms (e.g. Schneider Electric, Siemens, Allen-Bradley etc.)
- Familiarity with industry standard communication protocols (Modbus, CANBUS, DNP3, IEC61400)
- Experience in taking a large scale battery site from design inception to go live
- Experience of Grid Compliance (G99/Grid Code etc)
- Experience of coordinating and managing designs with external vendors and contractors
- A proven ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical and multitasking skills
- Experience setting up, managing, and supporting a fast paced team
- Communication skills working with a range of technical and non technical stakeholders
- Knowledge of industry trends in technologies
