We have an opportunity for an ambitious Corporate Finance / Debt Capital markets professional, with experience in asset-backed lending / securitisation, to join our Strategic Finance team.
You will join as a second principal in the team (i.e., peer to existing principal) and report to OEV’s Chief Financial Officer initially and the Director of Strategic Finance when in role.

What you'll do...

  • In this role, you will help negotiate, execute and oversee the funding facilities we need (£2B in the next 24 months with continued scaling from there inc international)
  • This is a varied and fast moving role with significant responsibility and growth prospects (+visibility across the business)
  • You should be credible at a senior level (internally and externally) and be able to run deal processes with a degree of autonomy – (referring, for strategy and decision-making to the CFO/Dir Strategic Finance for support)
  • You will work with our Credit team, FinOps and Group finance teams
  • You will also work with our Growth and innovation teams as we develop and finance new propositions - whether in the UK or in international markets
  • We operate in a new and growing industry. We are rapidly growing our book of business and the scale and sophistication of our financing. You will have the opportunity to own, manage and build important parts of our funding portfolio as we continue to scale.

What you'll need...

  • Have 5 years+ experience in lending, credit, corporate finance - ideally asset backed, ideally with some exposure to securitisation processes
  • Be strong analytically, have attention to detail, and good commercial judgement
  • Be able to work well with the business and link funding activities with our business needs and strategy
  • Be a good communicator, collaborator
  • To enjoy and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment
