About Octopus Electroverse
We’re making electric vehicle ownership as smart and as simple as possible, by building the giant, virtual charging platform of the future.
In just over two years, Octopus Electroverse has grown to become one of the largest eMobility players in Europe, with over 520,000 connected electric vehicle chargers and a customer ecosystem spanning web, iOS, Android, CarPlay, Android Auto & Automotive OS, and more.
But it’s just the start: we’re busy launching in new countries, working with more automotive and tech partners, building exciting new features at scale, and creating the integrated charging experiences of the future - all in the name of making public EV charging super simple for customers.
Electroverse is a multifunctional team made up of product, development, commercial, operations, marketing, partnerships and more - all focused together on making Octopus the go-to name in EV charging. And we’re looking for smart individuals with an interest in the space who can help us make it happen.
We’re looking for a passionate Digital Marketing Manager to join the team and help us engage, educate and expand our community of electric vehicle (EV) drivers and improve wider awareness of the brand through targeted digital campaigns (google, apple search ads etc.) and SEO improvements.

What you'll do

  • Create and monitor digital campaigns in the UK and abroad - specifically mobile app marketing and Google ads
  • Lead on SEO and content strategy - conducting regular keyword research and planning content accordingly
  • Write guides, blogs, and updates to engage with existing and potential EV drivers
  • Help create meaningful and engaging video content for use across different platforms
  • Help curate the content calendar and quarterly e-newsletter
  • Build relationships with online EV community groups
  • Be a guardian (and champion!) of Electroverse & Octopus’s public presence and tone of voice
  • Work with the Electroverse web, design, and ops teams on all of the below
  • Create new content & visuals for socials
  • Work on web design and SEO
  • Enhance the Electroverse website to cater for social & community engagement
  • Help build our social presence and brand awareness through content sharing, engaging with followers, social media strategy and campaigns, and monitoring engagement/conversation to feedback to the team
  • Think creatively about how Electroverse can be a bigger and better part of the EV community, with the ultimate aim of helping customers with the move to electric vehicles
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry and digital trends

You will have:

  • Experience in digital marketing: from engagement stats and click-through rates to SEO, and campaign management
  • A love creating content, whether that’s a straightforward social post or a detailed guide
  • An excellent understanding of audience, writing styles, and tone of voice, and can demonstrate your experience
  • Experience in growing and engaging a community - understanding the needs/wants of your targeted demographic
  • A willingness to dive into the detail to enhance your own understanding, and use that to help customers: part of Octopus’s DNA is simplifying complex topics so that we can all easily understand
  • Experience in growing and engaging a community - understanding the needs/wants of your targeted demographic
  • A people person and enjoy engaging with people online, answering questions, providing help, and gathering feedback
  • A genuine passion for building a community, in pursuit of Octopus’s wider goal of decarbonizing our planet
  • You don’t need detailed knowledge of electric vehicles, but an interest and desire to know more about the industry is important
